I personally like the sound of KT88's with Hartke cabinets. I use a TEV4 but they are cheap in UK. How about a used Ampeg SVT?

  3. the reason for posting this is because my guitarist is playing thru an old yamaha amp or a old peavey. both are about 75 watt amps. he cranks his pretty much all the way. I crank mine up pretty high too. but after that, there's no more room left. I was thinking about buying another cab to go with it, but that would only split the power (200w@8ohms. 350w@4ohms). As i said earlier, the cab can handle 400w @ 4ohms.
I just wanted to push the cab alittle more. And i'm thinking it wouldn't hurt later to have the power when adding another cab.

GK heads go great with Hartke cabs.

  5. If you like the sound of your B2-R and just need more power...

    Try a Ampeg B4-R: 1,000 watts @ 4 ohms bridged.
    350 watts @ 4 ohms stereo.
