More punch from a 1x15?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by count_funkula, Dec 13, 2002.

  1. I recently bought a Workingman's 15 combo to use as a stage monitor. Since buying the 15 it seems like the stage volumn has increased a lot. We have added another guitar and more singers so now I find that I am having trouble hearing myself. What can I do with the EQ to get a little more punch out of my amp without it sounding horrible.
  2. hey there,

you can only do so much with 200W. Um, so your using another rig and using the workingman's as a monitor? This may just be a problem with the soundguy and the volume in the mix. It's understandable to see that you might get drowned out under +1 singers and two guitarist. Tell me more about what your amp setup is with your band's stuff. please.

add a 4x10 (i had that set-up and it rocked!)

and perhaps try the aphex 204; it has a section to add more punch as well as more bottom...
  4. try turning the tweeter off and the treble up.
