    What a bad stretch...

    1. My Sampler/looper pedal dies
    2. My car gets smashed by an old lady, and is writen off.
    3. I get a huge power surge the one night I don't use my power conditioner in my rack for my pedal board.
    4. Because of this my Boss bass chorus, and my boss Phaser is toast...

So I am in a bad bad bad way... Santa has forsaken me...

    :bawl:

Ouch! Look on the bright side, though - at least it didn't get your amp, and Boss gear can be replaced fairly inexpensively. :(

Tecx, that sucks. You've had a pretty bad run of fx luck.

I play in a Joy Division covers band on the side, I've been using the Analogman Clone Chorus with great results - sounds awesome for '24 hours', 'insight' etc

Hey Dave, how much did the Clone cost you?.. And does yours have the deep switch?...

I got it new, $200, with the deep mod. Mike has offered to put in the option as a switch, but I'm happy with it as it is.

It replaced a ChoralFlange, which is a great pedal but I wasn't using the Flange part and was looking for a more KISS pedal.

Those pedals probably sound great, but I doubt they'll stand up to a power surge any better . . .

Are you sure the pedals themselves are fried? Sometimes it's the wallwart that takes the hit, leaving the pedal intact.

You have my sympathy. I lost a pedal to a surge and it's virtually irreplacable. I've been watching ebay for a year now :( Your car too! Ouch!!!

Dude, maybe you should pray or do a counter-spell dance or something! Who needs a job anyway, it's just lots of bosses making you do stuff :D Oh, yeah, money :(

I lost an Akai Hexacomp. I guess they weren't very popular, but everyone that got one decided to hang on to it? I also lost a dbx 120xp and my rack fan to the same surge. I finally found a power supply for my dbx, it's supposed to arrive today.

This usually happens to me when Mercury is in retrograde. It lasts about a week or so.
