more volume!

    Do you guys think it would hurt an Eminence Omega Pro 18 to push 700 watts into it full range? its mounted in a front ported cab tuned to about 34 Hz, with around 7 or 8 cubic feet of airspace in the cab. ive done it before, and it sounds pretty good (not a lot of highs, but thats what im going for here), but i havent run it for any extended amount of time like that. I was just thinking maybe i could lose the 210 cab, save myself some effort, and increase my volume and low end, without spending any more money on another poweramp. (R600 will bridge at 4 ohms to 700 watts, but will only run my 210 +18 setup at 500 watts). i am thinking of adding another poweramp for the 18, but thats gonnabe a while. any ideas for that? i was thinking a carvin DCM 1500 or 1000. (4-500 bucks) but im a college student, so money is tight. am i going in the rigt direction by trying to increase the power output to my 18 at all costs??

    where? ive looked through the archives all the way back and havent found a really detailed explanation (i could just be blind tho)
