For those who've had experiences with Moses J and P necks, would you describe the taper (front to back) as slim, or chunky like a MIM J or P?
I have owned the Js Its the same width of a standard J 1.5 - 2.5 but they are slimmer (He can get away with that because they are graphite). Not be a ton but noticeable (epically if you own a fender or equivalent)
I own a 35 scale 5 string j neck. Its very comfortable, and not too chunky or skinny. Just right. I'd say its about on par or maybe slightly thinner than my Stingray 5 neck and fatter than those 5 string Ibanez soundgears...
Mose said they could do a 1.625"/1 5/8" nut width for me, although it's not advertised on the slanted. I played a Marcus Miller J and it felt great. The same 1.5" nut width on a MIM J felt wrong, too round. The slimness of the MM made the nut width seem a little more wide and comfortable. Thanks for chimin' in guys.
