Ok, lets temporally forget about make, model and playability and focus solely on aesthetics. What bass (factory made or custom) do you think has the most spectacular finish you have ever seen???

ya, Ritter has some amazing finishes... I like Shecter finishes (C-4,5) and the finish on my Ibanez BTB405 quilted Maple too.

Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder because I find Ritters awful ugly. They remind me of snails.

Wow, some amazing looking basses there. I like the shapes alot, they're kindof wild but there are no funky spots that look out of place, I think the designs work really well.

Never seen a burl wood neck before. Anyone else think 10-12 neck bolts is overkill?

I think Modulus' blueburst is the shiz. soo sweet.
The best finish, however, would have to be the sweeet satin finish on my Nordie.

I gotta put my vote in for rickenbacker finishes. Montezuma brown is just too nice.

  11. i think Conklin has some cool finishes, i can't give any examples off the top of my head, but just go look at the conklin gallery at Conklin's website. I think some of those melted tops are very cool :)
