Most folks here talk about the "sexiness" of a bass, so...

...I'd like to see pictures of what qualifies as a "sexy" bass for you. No obligation for reasons. Here are my choices (in that order). Thanks for your input!

    CoolFenderJazzBass. stingray-apple-fullshot. Lakland.

    Spector. rickenbacker4003fg1.

1: The (visually) perfect neck width combined with that elegant headstock.
2: Gorgeous body shape and color combined with the dark FB.
3: The StingRay 4 pickguard (the only one I like) plus the 3+1 headstock, dark FB and burnt apple body. Terrific combination.
4: The only maple neck that I've found attractive.
5: Spector inlays are the coolest to me.
    6: I don't know. I'm pleased every time I see a fireglo 4003.

She won the "Most Plastic Female (behind Barbie) Award" didn't she?

OT - my vote goes for the Stinger 4 string pictured above, with a natural finish, maple board and a black pickguard. I just love simplicity when it works.

Although, I like it better now, with dimarzios (dual pole pieces) and cream covers. Looks more vintage... I'll get a pic up soon.

    Then of Course:

For some reason, that color combo always gets me.

And of course, the modern beauty:

Just something about the grain of the wood and the tummy cut on the back, and the overall sculpting just tingles me.

I used to have one of these and I miss it. I apologize for the crappy pic:[IMG]

Of the poster's initial pic offerings, I like the walnut topped Zon & the spalted Spector for sex appeal!
  12. I'm not posting this because I just bought one (nose begins to grow :D ) but if this ain't sexy, I don't know what is!

Look at it, and notice how skillfully the maple top is layered over the mohogany body.

Reminds you of a woman is a see-thru nightgown stretching in the morning, doesn't it?

Come, take my inkblot test. :p

...and my Warwick Corvette Std. of course. I love her bod- petite and curvy. I think purple Warwick FOrtress MasterMan is sexy. I wanted one so badly in high school.

If I had to choose a most un-sexy bass, I would say anything with spalted wood. Spalt just looks like rotting wood to me and I don't find it attractive at all. Very un-sexy.

I always dug the Classic Yamaha BB shape as well as the Stingray and Lakland 55-94/55-02 because they have such large curvy bottoms. There is something very about large curvy bottom that really appeals to me on basses and women for that matter!

I don't own a digital camera, but it doesn't get any sexier for me than my BRB Sunburst P-Bass w/ ashtrays...

Sorry about the length. I kept browsing and saying "oh God! This is sexy!" I had to stop.

    I have a feeling I should get a Benavente...
