"a few months ago i saw an auction and the description was "four string bass""

If it was a regular four string a few months ago, what happened to the frets? For a Rogue doesn't standard defreting practice involve Belt Sander with a 40 gr belt? But since it took a few months maybe the guy only had a dremel tool? Could we be seeing the work of another "Wishy" want to be?
Kinda of scarry thinking about it, going to play some blues rifts and relax.
