What's the most knobs, switches and buttons you've ever seen on a bass?
I'll start it out tame.
This is way up there too.
Uh, Allen Woody, It think was the guy. Had an Alembic retrofitted with more dohickies than you momma.
And JT's 8s. Those are INSANE.
Kramer Ripley bass and John Turner's 8 strings rank right up there.
JT's 8 string with the midi system and the paraq EQ wins no contest.
The BC Rich Bich 8 string bass was pretty gaudy, too.
If so, do you wire them up to a Car battery or what?
Like, on this one episode of Battlestar Galactica they like stopped at a casino planet and the band had these 3 chick singers and they each had 3 mouths so each one could sing Bass, Alto, and Soprano and they also had 3 sets of knobs each! Starbuck like wanted to be their manager but there were these like evil bug people living underground so he was busy. I think. I remember this from like 1985.
I always thought Talkbass had FEWER knobs than the other forums.......
Sorry about that, Chief!
Dig.... (front left in picture)
Oh, I don't know.
Maybe another mutant from Atlansia (I count 10, by Godzilla!!!) -
Can we merge this thread with the "ugly bass" threads?
Who in the hell needs that in their lives?! I don't want a bass that I have to spend about 8 days on just studying the knobs alone.
My Ripley has quite a few (plus it gives me an excuse to post a picture of it)
Either you are a photoshop expert, or the preamp on that F bass is very fertile!
its the " F Bass Dealers Preamp"
its on all the dealers basses- regular guys can't get it.
You have to settle for 6 measly knobs!!
and it sounds just like a Rickenbacker!!!
