    Should be Ron Wood's bass line in "Maggie May." However, without the bass line, the song wouldn't be the same. I love Ron's bass noodling on that song.

    hmm...somehow i don't hear it. I hear quite a few fills, but that doesn't seem like wanking all that much

    I agree. That song is all over the place, and doesnt realy follow a particular pattern. Each time around he does the patterns similar, but different. I was told that Ron Wood also used a zemaitis bass on thsat recording. I love that growly tone he gets on that song lotsa mids.

    You should check out the isolated bass track for The Beatle's "Helter skelter" on YouTube.

    I believe it was played by Lennon. Very messy (though I dig it.)

    Ron Wood is an underrated bass player.
