If you could only pick 1 song, (I know its hard!!!!), what song would it be???? Mine would have to be Astronomy by Metallica(never heard Blue Oyster Cult's original)
hehe, did anyone see the SNL thing with BOC where they were recording "don't fear the reaper" with the cowbell? that was the funniest sketch i've seen in a while. "guess what? i got a fever. and the only prescription is more cowbell!" hahahaha anyway.... this topic is pretty darn impossible, but some favorites are: the clash: "white man in hammersmith palais" beatles: "a day in the life" operation ivy: "unity" the band: "the weight" bob marley: "stir it up" and bunches of songs by fugazi and radiohead and dylan and 311.
-anything by or covered by: sublime, marley, op ivy, tupac, public enemy, the aquabats, the specials, aus rotten, weezer, crass, etc.
Red Barchetta is definitely a great tune. I love when the guitar and bass jump into that c-b-f-e bridge before the g-a-g-d groove where the lyrics come back in("jump to the ground..."). Most favorite of all time is too tough for me, even by band. Wish You Were Here from Floyd is a nice little ditty.
this is an easy one for me. This may sound really weird, but my favorite song of all time is "Dammit" by Blink 182. Its got a nice beat to it, real good lyrics, its got a real boring bassline but its still an awesome song. I could listen to that song over and over and it never gets old. I listen to that song almost everyday and im usually singin it at somepoint in school everyday. honorable mentions: "Carousel" by Blink 182 "Peggy Sue" by Blink 182 (no this isnt a buddy holly cover) "One" by Metallica "Fade to Black" by Metallica "Wasting Time" by Blink 182 "Only in Dreams" by Weezer
Hmmm, hard choice... I have a tie. Jerry was a Racecar Driver Primus Shake Hands with Beef Primus Greet the Sacred Cow Primus Mikes Slap Bass Solo of Doom Mike? MSBSoD is just a song off the great Napster (RIP), but it is so cool I had to put it.
It is impossible to have just one favorite. So it's a toss up between Tool - Third Eye Or Twisted Sister - We're not gonna take it. Someone reply and tell me which to choose
This changes all the time, and it's almost impossible to pick just one, but for right now, it would be Yyz by Rush.
whoa! basserman44, the ataris do rock!!! i didnt know anyone on here liked them! anyways as far as songs go id say my favorite is Stand By Me by Ben E. King, for modern music Across the sea by weezer.
