Moving from combo to amp+cab Q's

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Indi86, Nov 17, 2004.

  1. Hey! (First post)

I'm desperately in need of something more than my aging Sunn Alpha 115, so I'm looking at purchasing a new amp and cab set (or used if I can snag a good deal).

I'm looking at the Ashdown Mag 300, which seems to be getting a lot of hits on the forum lately. Under it I was planning on using an Avatar B212 and an Avatar B210 Neo (both 8 Ohms... I think, to get the full power out of the amp).

I play, almost exclusively, Funk and Jazz stuff. Does this set up sound appropriate? I'm on a student budget.

Sounds great to me. I just bought the B212 and it's great. I also have an Eden 2x10xlt which is also quite good. Driving the 2 cabs is my SWR 750 which is awesome. So yea, I think you would be fine.
  3. Great. Now I just gotta wait like 3 weeks to quell the GAS.
