The VL line by EA was noted for it's smooth and flat frequency response, akin to a studio monitor, correct? As well as a rather good projection in the lower frequencies that emphasized the fundamentals.

My question is: does the newer CXL enclosures continue this focus on fidelity, or are they moving closer to other more conventional designs by employing a 2-way design? Are the new ones as flat and smooth in their response, or are they giving something up in the change? I notice in the specs on thier website that low frequency rollof has risen, as well as an increase in efficiency. This would seem to indicate a different sounding enclosure.

Do you have any specifications on the CXL-112 that I believe you mentioned in another post?

Sorry for the long post Bob, take your time.

    and thanks.

p.s. do you know if the low freq. response ratings in that same spec chart are at -0db, -3db, or -6db?

I would be interested in the answer to this as I want more EA cabs but the UK suppliers seem to be switching - Bob might hang out more in DB than obver here?
