MTD 535-24 hardware corrosion

    I have an MTD 535-24 for 8 years. Over time the screws for the truss rod cover, battery compartment cover and preamp cavity cover have corroded badly (see attached pic).

    Appreciate anyone's input on where to source for stock-specification corrosion-proof screws, and if not, stock screw replacements.

    I live in Singapore. It's in the tropics where temperature and humidity are high.

    that's a pricey bass. i would think an email to the mfg would go a long way. non-magnetic stainless steel screws will help and the mfg should provide the screw size if you don't have a decent way to measure them.

    i also think the environment is affecting your wenge fingerboard where it meets the frets producing that white powder.
