MTD 535-24, Myrtle Burl 10 Top over Makore. A very fast and comfortable Ash Neck with Birds Eye Maple Fingerboard - the profile on this one is exceptional! Condition of this bass is mint, as is the interior of the case. The exterior of the case has minor signs of cosmetic "checking". Don't miss out!

    What's the nut made of?

Good question... it's the same material as every other US made MTD, though what that is isn't readily made information.
I don't think it's meant to be a secret or special, just not common knowledge. A call to Team Tobias or perhaps an inquiry in The Official MTD USA Thread should get you the answer.

Pretty sure it’s the same kind of plastic that cutting boards are often made of. These nuts act more as string spacers/retainers than as typical nuts (since MTDs have zero-frets).

Excellent point (which I knew and neglected to consider), thank you.

This one is also up on Reverb now should anyone interested need more payment options.
It's priced a bit more though as to offset their seller's fees.

  7. Beautiful instrument, love the myrtle top and the grain on that ash neck. Would you consider shipping to Germany at all?
