I just took delivery of this bass on Friday. It is brand new and still in the box. I'm only selling it because it was an impulse purchase and I don't need another 6 string bass. The bass was professionally set up the moment I received it. It plays like an absolute dream!! This particular bass has Hipshot Ultralite tuners!

This bass comes equipped, as stock, with custom Bartolini jazz pickups (in soapbar housing) and a USA Bartolini NTMB 3-band preamp with push/pull volume for active/passive selection, and push/pull mids for mids frequency selection.

Michael Tobias and legendary bassist Andrew Gouché worked together to create the MTD Kingston Andrew Gouché Signature Model and the MTD American Andrew Gouché Signature Model. He uses both versions for his Prince gigs, his home church gigs and all the other gigs, appearances and clinics that he has. The Kingston AG is an amazing bass with many of the custom MTD American bass features that were personally selected by Andrew himself.

Michael Tobias and Andrew Gouché have been friends for years and have worked to develop the unique tone on Andrew’s instruments. In 2010, they began working on a special, signature bass that would bear both of their names for the Kingston line. The Kingston AG has a carved a l d e r body with a burl m a p l e top. Alder makes a very warm, big sounding, slightly compressed, punchy bass. The burl maple top helps to focus the low end. The fingerboard is p u r p l e h e a r t, which complements the custom smoky purple satin finish and is Andrew’s favorite for tone and feel. It has Andrew Gouché specified and Michael Tobias approved Bartolini soapbar pickups for incredible tone. Developing the pickup sound probably took the longest time in the AG design – it had to be just right and it is.

Andrew has a deep and well developed tone whenever he plays – the Kingston AG makes it easy to achieve emulate the sound. The playing? That’s magic.
