MTD Kingston Pearl 5

    Anybody have any info on this bass or brand?

    I have not found anything about a Kingston Pearl, so maybe he has the wrong name down?

    Looking at other Kingstons, they look fairly nice and I've been looking to get rid of my ibanez (hate the trem but it was only 270 when I bought it)

    do the trade!

    mtd kingston basses are mtd passive musicman copies. ...very nice basses and imo and ime nicer instruments than the budget stuff put out by ibanez. if you wind up not liking it, you can get more in the talkbass classifieds for the kingston than you could for the ibanez. thats my opinion.

    Home-STL; location-Hesse.
    I used to stop by a music store in Tacoma and play on that model every Saturday because I loved the B string sound from it. That model is the reason I purchased my MTD Artist, the active version of that bass.

    there is no such. I think the person selling the bass is not well versed in MTD basses and is trying to say it has a Pearloid pickguard. Its not a special model. The price is good. Get it!
