Got to sell this thing! HUGE price drop Now for $800 includes case and shipping!!! MF has these listed at about 1450 wo these upgrades. Here's the specs from MTD on this Z6. Here's what's been done to it. Pickups have been replaced with Bartolini's - There is a minor bump above the neck pu from the install. I took a picture of it, still hard to notice. The Preamp has been replaced with Aguilar's OBP-3 - 18v 3 band eq, the mid is parametric/sweepable - 3 position switch for different pickup positions/series - concentric volume dial is on/active and "off" is actually bypass not passive. I really like this feature for recording. I'll dial my tone in with the supplied studio-grade hardware and software and not worry about dialing up my bass. And it's fun for a/b'ing the harts to the aguilar pre Hardware: all the original black hardware has been replaced with gold hardware. - you may have noticed on mtd's site that there are no basses with this configuration that's why. - I took a close up picture of the gold tuners to show some mild wearing that has happened, the gold finish has started to fade on them. Main features I like: ZERO fret best neck I've played yet. Buzz feiten Tuning system. 35" scale 18mm spacing at bridge
These are indeed very comfy, great feeling sixers. I played one for a bit and really wanted it, but I'm set for now. The 18mm string-spacing at the bridge leaves plenty of room for comfort but also the little extra bit of ease in crossing strings is definitely there. This probably screams with the new electronics. Looks beautiful and has graceful lines as well. Cheers and bumps.
I don't dare go pass 1oclock on the bass dial. I haven't come across a genre or setting that's needed anything close to the bass being 100%!!
I just noticed on the specs page that it listed approx weight as 9.5 Do you have the accurate weight?
