This is aimed at you bass players that own three or more basses.

Including practice and gig time, which bass do you play the most and what about the bass makes it "the main one"?

[I could do a poll, but I'm sure I would offend someone by leaving theirs out.]

  4. My fretted 4(Purple TBC)

  5. Usually my MIA Fender Hot-rod. But that might change and be put to the 'backseat' for a while when my order comes in for my new MIA Fender Standard.
Hopefully it isnt gonna take much longer :(

what tonal characteristics does the hollowness give it? also the hollowness makes it weigh less right? i love that bass man. if that thing had a birdseye maple fretboard i would marry it...

    Brad,

Are the Bru's versatile sounding & play great or what?

[I know you're a basso-connoisseurous with some fine instruments to choose from, so I'm very curious about your choice.]

Big bottom end with a very sweet, mellow high end..

BTW it does have a birdseye fretboard.. It just has a finish on it.

Currently, probably the Lakie Skyline 55-01, because that's the one I gig with most often. It's my only 5 at the moment (until a couple other things show up, at least), and my busier band really needs a 5. It's not really the first one I pick up at home, but it probably gets the most playing time overall.

My Vigier Excess. Light weight and so comfortable,
and TONS of tone. This bass sounds great and cuts through no matter what or where I'm playing.

My Jazz '78 is my first choice when I play with gropus;while I practice and study with my Q5 fretless at home.
I suppose that my 1st bass will become my Fodera as soon as it arrives.
