I've been trying to figure out where my ME-50B belongs in the signal chain. Seems like it should be first, but aren't time-based effects (delay, chorus, etc.) supposed to come after the pre-amp stage? Do you just have to give this up if you use a multi-effect pedalboard?

    Thanks...Millard

Try it in different places and see where it sounds best.

  3. Pretty sure the ME-50B was designed to go before the preamp. I hit all my pedals before I hit my amp and I've got modulations and delays.

If you're using an overdrive pedal in addition to the ME-50B, you should probably put the OD first, and things like EQ's and Wah's first also.

Let me put it this way...If you have a bunch of pedals, including the ME-50b, it should probably be the last thing you hit before going to your amp.

    Hope this helps.
