question... ok lets say ive got a 1x12 cab and a 2x12 cab and both are 8 ohm cabs powered by a 700rb-II which puts out 480 watts at 4 ohms. will 240 watts go to the 1x12 and 240 watts go to the 2x12? or is the power divided equally among each speaker? im pretty sure its divided equally between the cabs and not the speakers... but just want to confirm. i was thinking about this setup but i dunno if 240 watts would be enough for the 212.

If they are both 8 ohm cabinets, then the power will divide evenly between the cabinets. Power division is all about resistances/impedances , and not the number of speakers (other than how they determine the cabinet's overall resistance/impedance.)

word!! If they are not equal, the one with less resistance will draw more current, hence, more power.
