Hey everyone, Next year I'll be a senior in the International Baccalaureate program, and one of the requirements to complete the program is what is called an extended essay, which is a research paper of up to 4,000 words. The topics were due last month, but I've been slacking and haven't really done anything yet, including choosing a topic. The extended essay must be in one of the subject areas covered by the IB program, and music is one of those. I would like to do my essay on a music-related topic, and it would be great if you guys help me with some ideas. The guidelines for the topic are fairly strict; they are available here (scroll down to the music section). Here is an excerpt from the guidelines: And an example topic: "What is the influence of Edgard Varese on the musical output of Frank Zappa?" Any ideas would be appreciated, and being related to bass is a bonus. Thanks
I'm gonna be going into the IB program in 2 years and since we need to do the extended essay i was going to do it on music... but i can't think of anything really...
A lot of people say that IB is so much work, but once you're in it, you'll realize that it really isn't that hard, and you'll get a lot out of it, especially college acceptances. Are you in pre-IB now? Also, I'm still looking for ideas if anyone has any . No one has any interesting ideas relating to music?
