I've done a lot of different projects over the years, but today was a first; I played on a CD project featuring a guy that passed away two years ago. I knew him a bit, and saw him play quite a few times. A bit strange. Anyone else ever do this?

  2. Marcus, Marcus, Marcus..... How did he look after two years?

Chuck Sher publishes my book, WALKING BASSICS:The Fundamentals of Jazz Bass Playing.
Never done that, played on a session with a cat that was terminal and wanted to get a trio thing done before he passed.
It was a pretty happy session, but he seemed to be a pretty happy cat anyway.

there's a buncha Lenny Breau recordings that had a rhythm section added after his death, that Carol Tristano record she and a bassist did with tracks of her dad after he passed.

    So it has some precedents.
