  2. Beautiful Sterling. Are you the original owner? I'm in Powhatan county, Va.

Yes and no. I purchased it from an online shop. It had been returned be the first buyer.

    Regards.

  5. Thanks for the additional info. So you're the second person to let this bass go. What's your general impression of the playing and sound qualities?

I think it's a fantastic bass. It is light and feels great in the hands.

The reason I'm letting it go is that I like the sound of my Fender Jazz bass better...it is the positioning of the two pickups.

I have a different musicman coming that has two humbuckers, which I'm sure will be more to my preference.

You can check out this youtube video, which is pretty good.

    Regards.

  7. Thanks again. I'm a retired senior citizen with no-so-great back and knees, thought the Sterling edition might be a good fit but never get to see any locally.
I play for my own hobby/entertainment but like quality and craftsmanship.

Interesting you mention that. My jazz bass is fairly heavy and I can really feel it by the end of the gig.

The sterling is very compact and lightweight, and is very ergonomic.

  9. Michael,

What is the build date of your Sterling? (Excellent photos by-the-way.)

  12. Just curious as to the approximate age and history of your Sterling Classic. How long have you owned?

I'll dig up the serial number at home this evening.

I have owned it about a week and a half. I only used it at home, so it has never been gigged.
