It sounds soooooo good, its better than I thought it would be.
The mutes are the star of this show.
I have a 2017 stingray with all the modern refinements, this bass is old school and thumpy.

I’ve never used my mutes, except while tinkering once in my music room. I have palm muted while playing 7 Nation Army with my band though.

Enjoy the bass, the classic is my fave!

Took the classic out for its first gig...I'm in love.
Since we do allot of Tower Of Power,Aretha, james brown, stevie etc., I set up the string mutes. The sound was old school thump for days. The band loved the effect.
The two band eq behaves totally different as compared to my modern stingray. With the treble and bass just past center, the mids are much more present. I added some hoghs and lows from the amp and the sound was bliss.
Can anyone shed light o. The Leo Fender pre amp?

A2A5C913-AC6F-4544-8DC4-D4083FF46542. Just got my Stingray Classic 5 last week. This is a Guitar Center Platinum with an extra knob. The 4th knob switches between active and passive when pulled out.

Spectacular! Is this a limited edition EBMM did for Guitar Center?

Passive tone control in passive mode?

That’s what I was told. When you pull the knob it switches between two preamp circuits and works as a passive tone control. If anyone knows anything about this I would like to hear it. It’s a 2012 bass.

That’s not a mirror image, it’s two circuit boards.

I’m a birdseye freak! It’s my absolute favorite neck and fretboard wood, solely based on looks. There’s others that come close in appeal. But, a nicely figured honey colored birdseye will always turn my head, and empty my bank account... much like a beautiful woman, HAHA!
