E060CA5F-B6F1-4382-9FFA-8F577AD3FB5C. Past due for a fret polish! I haven’t felt the need for a level, and the frets aren’t grooved enough to warrant it... yet. I think the tiny frets on the Classics cause some of the fret eating pressure to go into the fretboard wood. It’s a theory, yet to be discussed or proven.

Just an FYI to my Stingray brethren...I’ve put my 40th anniversary SR5 in the classifieds. I’m also getting ready to post my blue dawn SR5 as well. 7A646FB3-C55F-47D7-91D2-99F408E8AAD7. BBF2E07D-90EB-46A7-947F-C9B3E2DFFADC.

:D Sad to see anyone let go of a Stingray, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Ha! I’m not leaving the Stingray club. I still have my beautiful autumn burst SR5. In fact I’m playing it right now. The reality is that I have to many basses and to many of them are duplicates. I know it’s bad when even I start feeling guilty when I walk by all the casses in my bedroom. Lol.
Plus for some reason I’ll buy something that’s brand new like the 30th and then be super reluctant to take it out and play it. I’m better of sticking with slightly used basses that have already had the newness wore off of them a bit.

I'm pretty sure I've seen it before but, and I think I can safely speak for most of us in this thread, you don't have to feel shy about posting pictures of it again. :D

Yeah, if you have so many basses that you're afraid to take the good ones and play them and just keep using the ones that already have that first dent, then thinning the herd and buying used is a good way to go.

I remember posting some pics of my SR5 back about mid 2017 but I don't remember getting a club number. Sign me up please Mr Treasurer.

No numbers. Like the StingRay itself, it's a bit more existential than that - you 'just know'...

Some time back, members adopted using their first pic/ post#
in the thread, as a defacto member number. Nice blonde BTW.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Well the reason I asked is because of page ONE listing where it seemed there was a list started with 1-554 numbers alloted to the members. From what you guys have said I guess that list has been abandoned. Thanks again. Yep my SR5 is a honey and sure sounds great with so many tonal possabilities with that 5 position slider and the HH configuration.

Really beautiful. I can't stop looking at the birdseye maple neck  !

I've got the same electronics in my 5 Str Stingray classic gilded white. I prefer the passive mode (tone fully closed) for classic rock tunes. IMG_0389.JPG

Yes, it was a limited release of 200pcs 4Str and 100pcs 5Str available 2013 by PDN. I also have the 4 Str version.
