There's a MM Stingray unlined fretless (HH) that I have been looking at getting but I am not sure what an appropriate offer would be. Maybe someone here can shed some light. I was thinking of offering a max of $1000.00 USD but even that seems a bit high. My worry is that if I don't like it, it might be a difficult sell and I wouldn't expect to get that much back. I try to break even on most used instruments if I have to resell them (assuming it is still in the same condition when I try to sell it). The guy has it listed closer to $1500 USD though but I think he knows he's not going to get anywhere near that. What do you think, is $1000 too much?

Here's my Starry Night HH, I've had it for about two years now, and just now finally getting around to posting it. It's heavy and sounds glorious.
Good enough to join the club? Number please? IMG_0886.jpeg

I do too, now that I own one. This is one of the top three best playing/sounding basses I've ever owned.

Anyone ever installed a ramp on their stingray?

I bought a sub ray4 a few weeks ago to use as kind of a beater bass but I've already started modifying it. I had a ramp from a jazz bass that seemed to be the appropriate width, so I removed my pickguard and drilled it in right above my pickup. Loving it.

Not a ramp, but I have a Zero Mod rest on my SR5 that I like quite a bit. Take a look at them...

Two Classics from the first batch of five when EBMM introduced the new line at Bass Player Live in October 2009. (The others were Shell Pink, Sonic Blue, and Trans White.)

Surf Green and Fiesta Red, B050501 and B050505. (The colours were renamed Mint Green and Coral Red for the production run.)

The Surf Green weighs 8.9 lbs.

“Big Red” a 1987 SR4 2-band eq model has been my no.1 since 2000, fitted with flats for about six years. I’ll get some pics up soon...

To all you experts out there: Does anyone recognice it, what year etc? There is no writing on the back of the headstock, so is this thing a fake or something? It is for sale for $ 1200.
