This is an early 2000’s American made Music Man S.U.B. 5, not an import. It has a genuine Music Man two band preamp. This is essentially a Stingray Classic five with a matte finish paint job and a black painted neck. I recently replaced the saddles With original spec replacement from Music Man, and it has new strings too. The bass is about 10.5 lbs. and has some nicks that can be seen my videos, but plays and sounds great. I am thinning the heard, paring down to my Pedulla, Carvin, and USA Geddy Lee that I plan to take home before June 1. Like a lot of folks, my gig, church, is gone, and I think this bass would make someone very happy for not that much money.

Doubt this lasts long. The EBMM SUBs are an incredible value, and in my opinion the two-band is where the Ray really shines. I’ve had a few EBMM basses (Stingrays, Big Al), and the SUB 4 had the best neck of any of them. GLWTS!

Thanks, it is a great playing and sounding bass. It won’t break my heart to keep it, but I do not need half a dozen basses, especially when I am earning no income from any of them.

17.5mm is right. It is wider than a Ibanez Soundgear and the neck is thicker, so it does not feel like a toothpick in your hands. I can switch between the Stingray and a bass with 19mm spacing with no problem.

If I cannot sell this by Friday, I will just keep it.
