I'll be in Amsterdam in late August and was wondering what music stores are worth checking out.

Also, I wouldn't mind checking out some live music, so if you have any websites I could surf for concert listings that would be great.

    Dank je wel!

I was in Amsterdam a few weeks ago. there is one music store that is close the Dam (SP?) Square.... Well the Big Down town place. It had some pretty nice stuff but it was expensive, 1600 euro for a Rickenbacker and you couldn't try the instruments, thy were all locked (I didn't bother to ask to try any though) There was an Ibanez with black (metal) strings on it. Those were cool strings. Anyways Sorry I can't remember more than that, I was there for a day and just checked out the music store while wlaking around. Ask the concierge at the hotel when you get there! or check a phone book for more options!
