Can anyone recomend a book for begining music theory? (one specifically for bass would be nice) I'm losing my internet soon, so sites would be appreciated, but books would be prefered.

Hello. Well, the main bass theory book I work out of (I use this at my lessons) is Mel Bay's "Deluxe Jazz & Rock Bass Method" by Vincent Bredice. If you are wanting to learn site-reading I'd recommend Mel Bay's "Note Reading Studies For Bass" by Arnold Evans. Both books go from beginner to advanced. :)

Mark Levine's "The Jazz Theory Book"

I just picked this up and am very happy that I did.
