Does anyone out there in TB land know of any decent musical notation software? I'm getting tired of hand-writing notes on staff paper (and I'm a bit too sloppy at it ..)

I've tried a demo version of a program called "Finale". It's very good - just a little on the pricey side. Anybody have any experiences with other software packages?

Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Finale is a good program. The other big name is Sibelius. I personally like sibelius alot better. However it is about the same price as finale unless you are a student. (Sibelius gives student discounts)

you can download a free version of finale note pad.
it will do the job for about 95% of the work you have to do.
I used encore a long while but it's not working on XP.
    Now I use Finale 2001.
