These are the Guitar Center/Musician's Friend house brand. They're nice and cheap. Wondering if anyone has experience with them.

I keep a couple of sets around - they're a great deal when MF runs their private sales a couple of times a year, and I can get 15% off.

They're OK strings - basic nickel, the cheaper grade that turns my fingers a little black with use, but that may just be my body chemistry, because the strings on my URB do that, too. Sound and tension are average for nickel strings. I'm a stainless guy, but I like to have a few sets of emergency strings around without spending too much cash, and these fit the bill. At less than 10 bucks for a 5 string set, it's hard to go wrong.

    As always, YMMV.

Thanks - How does the tone compare to other nickels?
