MusicMan Bongo vs Lakland 44-02

    I have yet to play a 44-02, but I am seriously considering it as my next bass. I played the Bongo before and I thought it was fantastic.

    But, which bass do you all think would be more tonally versatile?

    Just different beasts. Both great basses.

    Id say if you played and liked the Bongo to go for it.

    They are both 4 string. The 4402 and the Bongo HS have similar pup configurations and I'm sure they can both share some common tones. The Bongo has radical looks as opposed to the more traditional looks of the 4402. As far as quality in workmanship, I think they are both tops. 4402 made in Korea vs Bongo in US (if that makes a difference) You'll just have to play them and decide which one suites you better.
