I just bought this bass from JoeyKun a week ago. And I love the neck so much that I want to buy a 6 string Bongo fretless version of it. But I can't afford to keep both. So I am putting this 4H back up for sale. The bass is awesome. In mint showroom shape. Nice low action. And classic Musicman sound. The fiquiring on the neck is gorgeous. The neck is so smooth it plays itself. I can't rave enough about it. Thus the reason for me getting the fretless. Here is some info from Joey's for sale thread on it and a link to his thread with pics. http://www.talkbass.com/threads/musicman-stingray-pdn-neptune-blue.1116969/ This is a 4 month old Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray PDN (Preferred Dealer Network) in a Limited Edition Neptune Blue. This is a killer looking and sounding Stingray 4 with 1H and black pickguard. This is in mint condition and could easily pass as new! Here are the pics and specs..... - Roasted Figured Maple Neck and Fingerboard - African Mahogany Body - Custom Neptune Blue Finish - 1 H Pickup - 3 band EQ (T,M,B) - Hipshot D-Tuner (original key included) - MM Original Hardshell Case - Weight: 9 lbs. I am pricing this baby low to try to move it fast. So the price is firm at $1,250.00 shipped CONUS. Paypal please. No trades please. I will ship it internationally but at the buyers cost. These are limited edition basses from Ernie Ball and will be very collectable. Thanks for checking it out.
Just curious if the neck has any kind of finish on it or is it the standard oil/wax treatment. I can kind of see the parting line on the back of the neck as if the headstock is finished.
Simply stunning; 'hog bodied Stingrays are really amazing tonally. I have a 30th Anniversary which is 'hog and it adds a nice smokiness to the standard tone. GLWTS, if I had free cash ATM I'd be all over this.
The neck has an oil finish on it. Nice and smooth. Plays like a dream. The fretwork on this bass is incredible as well. I played it this morning and wish I had the funds to keep it and get my fretless as well.
