MusicMan StingRay sound in a Ibanez SR1200 bass

    Hi all,

    Im looking for a new bass, and love the sound of a MusicMan Stingray bass.
    However, I'm not satisfied by the form of a MM.

    I recently played a Ibanez SR1200, which i found a great bass!
    Easy to handle and great looks.
    Still I missed the MM sound a bit.

    So, I'm looking for a bass which combines the above sound and looks. Im struggling to find this in 1 bass, do you guys have suggestions?

    I passed on Sting Rays for years over the toilet shaped pickguard, but finally gave in and played a bunch of them. The feel and sound are so unique, and so awesome, I broke down and bought a Classic Ray in Raspberry Sorbet. Imo, nothing else feels, or sounds like a Ray. looks aren't everything.
