Musicmaster/Mustang Owners!!! HELP

Hey there, I'm trying to find a set of tuners that will fit my musicmaster neck because the holes appear to be really small. I wanted to put some ultralites on it but I took one off of my lakland and it was WAY to big. It was probably a 1/2" and i know they make a 3/8" but can that 1/8" really make the difference? Has anyone had to replace musicmaster or mustang tuners? Recommendations pleeeaaasssee. Also, do they use a normal size bass string guides?
