Does anyone know what year Fender changed the shape of the Musicmaster headstock form the early 70's type to the style it was in the late 70's? which was like a P bass. What about the tuners as well. Paging John K :D

1973's and earlier had the V shaped tuning keys. 1974 onwards had the larger mustang bass clover leaf tuners.

    As always thanks John.

  7. I....just couldn't. Had a local (and TB to boot) buyer all lined up but after some "saying goodbye" jamming, I said to myself, "am I out of my mind, selling this?"

Glad to see you changed your mind. I took out my early 70's..73? Musicmaster for the gig last weekend a place were we are packed in like sardines and it rocked. Great tone and what a dream to play. I find myself forgetting my playing more and enjoying the music ,crowd and night when playing a SS...I really do.
