Now that I've begun to sling my bass a little lower, I find really the only way to play is with something that looks exactly like Flea's right hand. Moveable anchor is very difficult without having your forearm resting on the bass. It really lets me dig in too. Anyone have some tips? When doing fast runs I find it's just not possible. Help, I don't want to resort to the hair band!

Sling it back up if you don't like it?

If you pull your finger off the fretboard when fretting but not off the string completely, it should decay the note much faster, muting it in effect.
