Hi guys, i have another noobie question xD

I am having some troubles with the muting part. When i lift my left hand finger of the fret the string like rings. I dont know how else to explain it.
Really need help with this :p

Guess we need more details... how do you mute? Left Hand, Floating thumb?

When you lift your finger off the fret, don't let em fly into the air - letting them rest on the strings without much pressure (like playing dead notes) might do the trick.

You might be hitting a harmonic, too. If you mute a harmonic note, it'll ring out like it's supposed too.

Is there anyway to practice not lifting my finger straight up in the air?

Lift your playing finger but mute the higher-sounding strings (next to the played string) by leaving your index finger lightly on them. Mute the lower-sounding strings next to the played string with your thumb. The right hand fingers could be used for both - lots of muting info available on this site via Search.
