MXR M87 Question

    I've noticed a slight distortion at the attack when using the pedal as a limiter (20:1 ratio). I should note that the gain reduction meter still reads within the normal range: anywhere from -5 to -20 db. Is this normal?

    Within a mix it's not noticeable at all and it's actually not entirely harsh sounding. At first I thought it was the tube in my Walkabout clipping. But I removed that variable and determined that it was coming from the MXR.
