    what do you think?
Picked up the body from USACG, pulled the neck off of one of my jazzes (actually a P neck anyway), had an extra bridge, strung it up and it plays/sounds great with no electronics.
Of course I'll be putting in electronics, hopefully a Nordstrand pup, and an Aguilar OBP-1 (if it will fit!) Or maybe I'll just leave it passive.
    hard ash body, maple/maple neck.

  2. Gold and Green = :spit:

Get some black or chrome hardware.

Other than that, it's really sweet.

Don't let Major Metal see that one, I dunno if you'll be able to pry it out of his hands.

I know, I kinda thought the same thing. But I already had the gold bridge sitting there, and the neck was already done up on another bass, so I just popped them in.
and then I thought, hey, Notre Dame. That's not so bad.
    But, I'm thinking black.

I custom ordered a bass 15 years ago in translucent green with gold hardware. I think they look good together.

Trans-green with gold hardware? Hmm... not for me, but it's still neat.

I really like the look of that bass. Can you make a five with the 51 pickup?

Leave it passive and add a pickguard.

    I'd buy that.

    Thanks.
I'm not building anymore, but I know that Nino can do it for you. He has access to the same parts and I'm pretty sure that they can build it.

I think I'll leave it passive also, but I'm gonna pass on the PG. :)

  13. I do think you'll need a matching-color '79 Caprice w/gold tru-spokes & hydraulics, though.

I agree, not for me, but I'm digging it.

I'm looking at replacing the pup in my Sting and wonder why you're thinking about the Nord? I don't know anything about 'em...

  20. i like the bass alot but i would like it alot more if it had a "normal" p bass pickup config. i'm not feeling the single coil in the '51s. but other then that, its nice.
