My Amp is busted!!

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Kraig99, Feb 2, 2003.

  1. I was just playing bass yesterday when all of a sudden my amp just died. No sound at all coming out of it. I know it is the amp because I have tried several cables nad several different instruments on it, and still no sound, not even the slight hum that is usually there when it is on whether I am playing or not. Any idea what the problem could be or what I could do about it? It seems really strange for this to happen, especially considering I was playing at a very low volume and playing a passive bass.

It sounds like a blown fuse to me. There should be a fuse holder somewhere on the back panel. Pull the fuse out and take it with you when you go shopping for a new one.

    Yep, check the fuse first.

Make sure you use exactly the same type and rating. Putting in a higher ampere rating is a sure fire way to destroy your amp!!!!
