Thanks! It was pretty fun to do...

Just in case anyone comes in late:

It's a little 12w jobberdo (read old Quantum Guitar amp) with 2x8" speakers (auto subwoofer types) in a box tuned to 31hz. It sounds mucho stylin... It's a bit louder than before with the 1x6.5 and I hoping will turn out to be more clean.

  6. Looks sharp!

Which woofers did you use, and did you tune with a VOM or by formula?

Yep... That's the idea! ;) Small, lightweight and portable. This amp will see more action than my Cyclops.

  8. lucky bastard... my amp is about 80x110x50 cm, and weighs about 40 kilo's

  9. Yep. My (in construction) rack weighs 54 kilos, and the two 15" cabinets weigh 69 kilos each.

  10. yo Gabu, are you gonna sell the cyclops?

Gabu, nice homegrown little combo there. Good job!:)

It looks as if the box is painted instead of covered in Tolex or black fuzzy stuff. Is that true, or just the way it looks in the pictures?

Thanks! It is just the picture... The BFS is almost just cloth as short as the fuzz is.

Now I am looking for folding feet, so that I can tilt it up, or leave it flat.

*tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker* *tinker*

    It never ends!!! :D

  13. Gabu,

What bass drivers did you settle on?

  14. Good job, Gabu. I love homemade stuff especially when it turns out well!

    I got a pair of 8ohm 8" RHA GW8028 speakers. These go between 28hz-8khz and 100w RMS. They set me back a big $29 a piece :p
