Well guys/gals, I've crossed over to the darkside! I got a minivan!!!! I had to trade in my baby (2002 Maxima). :( I miss her already. We needed the space, so I got a 2004 Mazda MPV. It's got all the toys (CD, DVD with wireless headphones, etc.), but it's still a minivan! Oh well, it beats being carless!

ouch! I know that cuts deep! I will commence a prayer vigil for you. :D
hey...DVD/CD/etc...bottom line is it keeps the kids in check on trips and it's more comfortable---just be sure to wear dark sunglasses so you don't get recognized! ;)

  3. Sounds like a nice ride, Woodman.

    Good luck with it. :)

Wave the white flag. You've been defeated.

I don't know about a white flag, the color might clash with my soft white underbelly!

You may want to ride (hide) in the back and let the wife drive.

  7. Oh man, i can feel your pain...I had to give up my 1992 Mustang GT convertible! for a 1994 dodge B150 van...because i couldn't make the bread to keep the insurance company happy and i needed more room.

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAH, welcome to the club.
With two kids and a dog a minivan was inevitable for me too.
I fought it like hell. But after having one now for about 3 years a gotta tell ya. What they lack in cool they make up for in utility and comfort.
There really isn't a better vehicle for moving lots of stuff and lots of people.
    Anyway, HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

    LOL!!!!!

Update: This thing kicks arse! It's got 200 ponies, so it's not slow, and it's not an ugly van. When it was decided (her demand. It was a call in on a "I let you get a bike" favor.) that we'd get one, there were 3 on my list. This, a Quest, or a Freestar, so I at least got what I wanted in that regard, plus, the DVD system is hella cool. BTW, yeah, how come noone's asked for pics?
    :bag:

Yeah I like ours too. It's got a fat stereo but in '99 the DVD wasn't offered.

Maybe I should pimp it out?

    Ah...the grocery-getter, the soccer-mobile.

I've succumbed to it myself and you know what? I wish we'd gotten one sooner! We got a Plymouth Grand Voyager. Tons of room.

Kick ass stereo, way more comfortable than any car I've had (including my Olds Aurora...which reminds me, I miss that car...leather/heated seats, electric everything, BOSE Acoustimass surround system with 12 CD changer...oh, I digress...).

It's great to haul my equipment around in and it helps keep the kids from killing each other on long trips.

Kudos and welcome to the mini-van world.

I miss the Max, and although she snacked on Acuras and Lexi ( :D ), she wasn't much for hauling equipment!
