This has to be one of the most interesting customs I've seen in a while FTB. Any particular reason on the 32" scale? Who is making it for you,or are you doing it yourself? -Luke

    Interesting scale choice.
    Looks pretty cool.
  4. Shane Kanady is making it for me; i met him over at the ctbasses bass board. good guy; talented up-and-coming luthier as well!

i wanted the 32" scale because i have a 34" fretless, and a 35" fretted. i need a fretted that's a bit smaller and easier to move around on than the 35. so i figured i'd jump all the way to a 32 instead of just down to a 35 (and maybe a recent primus concert had a bit to do with my renewed interest in a shorter scale:D) it may be weird to start playing the short scale, being used to the longer one.

i love shane's design! the body scroll is great; it was going to be straight through the body; then he got the idea to have the back walnut piece be solid over the cutout, to give it a carved-out look. i really dig the way it's turning out!

Cool spec'd bass. - look forward to seeing some pics when it's completed.

I know what the wait is like, i've just received my Jaydee which took the best part of 5 months to complete - well worth the wait though!!
