My craigslist J bass find

    Scored this 1998 active deluxe jazz on the local list for 225. Couldn’t pass it up. Not crazy about the pick guard or the pick ups but I can fix those.

    As Dluxe noted, you've got some highly sought-after electronics there...be careful before you decide to gut that puppy. In any event: Congrats!

    First impression wasn’t that great. Just played around with it for 15 minutes or so and started getting some nice tones out of it.

    I can't believe all the tort lovers haven't chimed in about you wanting to lose that pickguard. I'm sure they will in time. Looks like a nice score for the $$.

    The neck or bridge are skewed too much to the treble side. Still would have bought it. Congrats!
