Fun :) :) I thought the smaller magnets went towards bridgeside?

I had Butch wire it so I could turn the pup if I wanted to. It'll go either way. The larger post are the magnet. The smaller ones are individual post adjustment screws. I am thrilled to have individual adjustment on a P Bass.
As well, because the bass was lite to begin with I wanted to fudge the pup forward towards the neck. Maybe 1/4"? The post towards the bridge gives a little more clarity and the shift towards the neck theoretically warms it up. I turned the pup around and it made a little difference. Mainly adding a little "muddbucker" type warmth under the fundemental. If I were going to play this in my living room as a practice bass I would turn it towards the neck. But as I work with guitars and B3 organs I like to keep it a little cleaner. That low warmth will be lost or in the way on stage under a band.

Come to think of it, i think even on the lakland decades, one pickup is facing one way, and the other one the opposite way, so it makes sense.

Hows that bass sound? I heard a Darkstar once, and was quite impressed with how fat it was, but my memory is fuzzy.

Check the link up top in the first post. There is a pretty detailed opinion there. Theres soo much buzz with the pickup I didn't want to post and repost things in each forum. :p
