My DIY pedal board and Power Supply

  1. I just finished building my power supply and I feel like showing it off! Here are a few pictures:

The pedal board itself is based on this : http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stomp-box/153763-my-do-yourself-ikea-pedalboard-build-thread.html

And the power supply is based on this : http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/spyder/spyder.htm

After getting very noisy results with two different power supply with parallel outputs (daisy chain), I came to the conclusion I needed something with isolated outputs. This thing works like a charm.

  2. Looks great man!

You built your own power supply? Totally wicked..

  4. Thanks!

I didn't want to pay 180$+tx for a Voodoo Lab PPL2. This cost me around 80$ (+ shipping). Considering the case alone was almost 20$, there's probably a few ways to get the same results at an even lower cost.

  5. Nice job!
I'm getting ready to build a small pedal baord myself. I wish IKEA still made those Gorm shelves!

  6. I think they're still sold in Spain. Still on their website, anyway.

  7. They still do...at least here in Canada

  8. Hmmm? The IKEA website says they are not available on line.

The last time I was at the IKEA store in Minneapolis they didn't have them there either.
