I was just strolling around on theperfectbass.com website and found this. I've always been crazy for a black beauty like this one. It is definitely "the perfect bass". I wonder if they make a 4 string version of it.

I've never seen one in black like this one. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it were a 4 banger.

I bought a Black 5-string like that two months ago.
it was a new old stock 2007.

I was told that fender will not be making the MMV in black in 2008?

That means demand will probably increase which ultimately result in increase in price. The price tag on it is pretty steep the way it is now though. They have it tagged at $1799. It's like $1684 shipped after the TB discount. For that amount I'm considering a used Sadowsky UV70 4 banger.

IMO you'd be getting a better bass going with the Sadowsky, and it will hold it's value better if you ever decide to sell it. That Marcus sig looks great, but I think you'd be better off with the used Metro UV like you said.

Thanks for the input. Reinforces what I initally thought. That MM5 does look killer though.

4-string version wouldn't be perfect IMHO.

thats bad ass, just get a used 4string MM and get it refinished black

  17. It's a Fender. Of course its a Bad Ass, Killer, Groovy, Gassible, Awesome, Cool, Saaweeet, Insane (sorry I have to learn when to stop) bass.

    Drool-Drool.

That would be an option if I knew how to refinish. My last attempt turned out to be a disaster. Then I took it to an auto body shop and they were going to charge $400 to refinish the bass. And I bought the dem thing for $120.

  19. I'd want an ebony neck---but that is really nice.

  20. I think i just try to get used to a fiver so i could have that!
