Lately I've been going through white fetish. (Larry Graham style) I really want a white Fender jazz 4 with matching headstock and rosewood board with white blocks and binding. I created one using Photoshop. I'm pretty sure that Fender doesn't make this. The only thing I have found that comes close is a Lakland Skyline DJ4.

Do I have any other options?

Is there a low priced custom option?

The DJs have become quite popular basses.

Actually, Fender did make this recently. It was a limited run of 75RIs done in LPB, CAR, and Oly White. You might find a used one somewhere.

This may sound silly, but I can't take the Valenti headstock. Would he do a more traditional headstock?

People here love his basses. I would consider it if it were not for that headstock.

There's a post on here somewhere of a new Mike Lull in a Shoreline Gold kind of colour with matching head stock. I like the look of a matching head stock a lot.

I'm sure that he could build one with the traditional headstock if that's what you want.

It sounds like you're describing a Lakland Darryl Jones. It has blocks, binding, and matching headstock. It is also available with a white finish. Are there things about the DJ that you don't care for? If so, things like the bridge, pickguard, etc. can easily be replaced.

Mike Lull offers block inlays and matching headstocks as an option on all their models. Lakland also offers blocks/binding/matching headstocks on all their US models.

Part of me wants to go for the DJ because so many people here love them. I've played one, and I did like it overall. I wouldn't be unhappy with one. I didn't really like the small frets and the small sleek body contour.

I guess I'm just interested in knowing if there are any other options.
